Garden Marquee Hire
Choosing to hire a garden marquee can be a great addition to any event.
They’re not only extremely practical, but can also be incredibly stylish too.
What are the benefits of garden marquee hire?
The real benefit of hiring a marquee in your garden is the amount of control it gives you over a number of different aspects of your event.
Plenty of space for everyone. Hiring a marquee increases the capacity of your event, so you can be confident all your guests will be comfortable.
Event design. You get to choose exactly how everything looks outside in the garden – and inside the marquee.
Peace of mind with the weather. Summer parties can be glorious affairs, but please, do factor in the Great British weather. A garden marquee not only provides shade from the sun but also gives you the option of moving all your guests inside – if the weather suddenly changes for the worse.
Keeping guests out of the house. You won’t need to worry about breakages, cleaning up drink spills (and worse) or any of your beloved pets getting stressed.

Our simple, practical guide to hiring a garden marquee
We wouldn’t be doing our job properly if we didn’t share with you a few practical considerations to think about before hiring a marquee.
But don’t worry too much, we’ll help set-up everything for you on the big day.
The marquee pitch site
Choose a flat surface, with no overhanging trees. If the gradient of your lawn is comfortable enough to host a gathering on, it is generally ok to put a marquee on it.
We don’t recommend putting marquees on concave lawns, they’ll just fill with water if it rains.
Please pick up any dog poo beforehand.
It’s also a good idea to identify underground services (waste, water, electric) that could get damaged from 80cm marquee stakes being driven into the ground.
Call us and ask for a site visit if you are not sure.
Powering your event
Our events are generally low-powered and are sourced from one or two 13amp sockets from an outdoor socket, into a garage, or through a window.
Please make sure the cables can be run in such a way that they do not create trip hazards.
We will bring plenty of cables with us, so we’re more than happy to advise on the safest routing of cables on the day of installation.
A few more points to note:
- Noise – Avoid any noise complaints by warning your neighbours in advance or better still, invite them. In our experience, the majority of people understand and can tolerate a loud party – as long as it’s not a weekly occurrence!
- Guest parking – Think about parking options beforehand and warn your neighbours or even ask them if they’re willing to temporarily move their cars if space is really limited.
- Toilets – Are the toilets you have at home sufficient for the number of guests you have? If not, it’s best to hire some in.
